As promised, we are organizing a PADI Rescue Diver course this summer.  During the course you will learn:

• Self-rescue techniques
• to recognize and manage stress in other divers
• to manage emergencies and use emergency equipment
• to rescue panicked divers
• to rescue unresponsive divers

As a prerequisite you need to:

• Be at least 12 years old (12-14 year olds earn Junior Rescue Diver certifications)
• have PADI Advanced Scuba Diver (or equivalent) certification
• have completed an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care courss within the last 24 months (can be done in parallel with this course)

To complete the course you must successfully:

• Successfully complete the knowledge reviews and the theory exam
• Demonstrate self-rescue skills
• Demonstrate 10 rescue exercises
• Participate in two rescue scenarios
• Prepare an emergency assistance plan for a dive site

The price of the course includes the PADI Rescue Diver materials and certification.  It does not include other equipment such as rescue masks, personal gear rental, travel, accomodations, food, etc.  We are setting a minimum of two participants for this course.  Registering for the coures requires a pre-payment of 100€ to the club, and the remaining fee to be paid before the certification.

A theory session will be agreed prior to the open water weekend based on the participant schedule.
